The Ballet Combination Book, 2nd Edition |
The Ballet Combination Book is a spiral bound notebook neatly arranged with over 250 combinations and ideas for teaching a ballet class. This is the perfect companion to all the wonderful ballet class CD's available today. It is ideal for teachers who find themselves giving the same exercises week after week. It is also useful for an apprentice teacher who is not experienced at putting together a combination. Most of the combinations are for the intermediate dancer. Some very basic technique ideas are included as well as some more difficult combinations. This book is great for easy class planning. After you are familiar with the easy to read combinations you can refer to it on the spot while teaching. I also find the center work to be helpful in choreography.
Combinations are given in the following categories: Plié, Tendu, Dégagé, Rond de jambe a terre and en l'air, Fondu, Développé, Frappé, Grand Battement, Floor turn-out exercises, Adage, Center Tendu, Body Positions, Pirouettes, Petite Allegro, Turns, Waltzes, and Grand Allegro.

Check out these easy to read combinations. Some are noted in a more formal ballet terminology. (croise, devant, etc.) Some use abbreviations like f,s,b (front, side, back) to make an easy to read notation.

A small sample of the great feedback for:
The Ballet Combination Book
Samples of letters from teachers who have written me.
I want to tell you how thrilled I am with your book. After 27 year of teaching ballet, I am always looking for new combinations. Some of my students have been with me for 15 years or more, and I see them take notice when I use one of your combinations. They are written clearly and conscisely. A great job.....VH
I just recieved your book and am thrilled. I am considering making it a requirement for my advanced students to have in their arsenal for the days I need them to fill in classes. You have done a lovely job arranging this book.... SL
I recieved the material that I ordered and it is excellent. I have a health issue and must be absent for several weeks. The ballet combos are wonderful and will save me so much time in trying to put together a manual for the sub. The Children's favorites will be very helpful in teaching the younger students. I am a buck and wing tap teacher... and the young lady will be able to grasp the tap routines very nicely. The material I ordered is so... very...what I needed. Dancingly, TL

The best book ever is from choreographco.com. It's called the Ballet Combination Book and is the best thing! They have tons of exercises for barre, center, .... It is very easy to understand and you have so many to pick from. It helps me to get organized... I also have their new book with pointe exercises, it's just as good. by kristisdance
